Pelosi vow for all-out health war

Despite polls showing adamant voter opposition to Democratic health-care legislation, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she's determined to jam a bill through Congress.

Republicans, meanwhile, relished the idea of Democrats sticking with their unpopular plans.

"If Nancy Pelosi wants to spend the coming weeks and months discussing a budget-busting health-care bill, then Democrats will have much more to worry about than a lost Senate seat in Massachusetts," said Ken Spain, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
