Of 535 members of Congress, only 111 (as of 8/16) have pledged to read their respective US House or US Senate legislation on the health care issue before agreeing to vote.
Please check here to see if your representative has pledged to read. If they have yet to pledge to do so, tell them to do so NOW.
By the way, many of these reps have traditionally NOT read legislation before voting on a bill. Sound too crazy to be true? Democratic House Representative John Conyers of Michigan doesn't think so. Keep in mind, he has a legal degree and is the Chariman of the House Judicial Committee.
